Day 2 till 7 Sunday - Friday
activities in any order:
rafting
We organize a raft-tour on the great Klarälven river.
From Hedegårds we will drive you to the starting-point of your own 'Huckle-Berry Finn experience'.
The raft with all you need for the day is ready for you in the slowly streaming and harmless river.
Do you want to catch a fish on the way; we can provide you with a rod! There is also the possibility to take an extra canoe if you want.
You will pass small villages and hamlets, typical Scandinavian farm houses and the beautifull nature, so common in these parts. Of course there is a big change you'll meet deer, elk or one of the numerous beavers that live in and along the river.
A day of pure relaxing enjoyment!
Walkabout
We'll take you on a walk in
Värmlands beautiful forests and tell you everything there is to know about the animals and plants in this breathtaking surroundings
We will first, by means of our Land Rover, take you deep into the woods, where we start our walkabout
During our walk we will find many tracks of its inhabitants and there is even the chance that we will meet some of them!
En route we make a camp-fire and cook our own meal
Moose- & Beaver-safari
Our Moose-safari starts at the beginning of the evening; thats the time a meeting with these 'Kings of the Swedish forests' has the biggest chance of succeeding.
We take you on a trip to the favourite places of these huge animals and tell you all you want to know.
During our Beaver-safari we try to show you as much examples as possible of the dams these architects are capable to build, after which we take off in a canoe and try to find some of these shy animals, in there natural habitat Along the way we will tell you all about this extraordinary creature
Both trips will take approx. 4 hours and during the beaversafari the last 1,5 h. will be in a canoe

Canoe-trip
Where, so close to home, can you find the possibility of a real canoe-adventure in the wilderness?
Here at Ekshärad in Värmland you can still choose!
Leave from Hedegårds for a spectacular trip on one of the many lakes here, or let us take you a day upstream on the Klarälven river and enjoy a day of beautifull scenery along the riverbanks or lake-shores. Have a picknick on one of the idyllic islands that seem to be thrown around by mother nature. Meet a fox, deer or elk, or better still catch a glimp of a bear, wolf or lynx, that wonder around these great forests.
KidsAdventureDay *
(optional a 350 sek p/p)
We call it 'a vacation-day for the parents'.
Every summer-season we organize our KidsAdventureDays
From 11 o'clock in the morning till 4 o'clock in the afternoon we will take them into the wilderness in our Landrovers. There is a wilderniss-quiz with questions about the plants and animals that live in the surrounding forrests, we will cook our own wilderness-meal above a self-made wood-fire and discover a real canyon inbetween the rocks. We learn how to find our way with a compass and lots more!
Under the safe guidance of two experienced English speaking guides the kids take of on an expedition in the wilderness of Värmland.
Included are transportation to the locations, wilderness meal, drinks, snacks and all the needed gear.
At the end of the day the kids will have their own 'Wilderness diploma'
What your children should bring themselves are:
water-resistant clothing, a towel and some extra clothes, (because living in the wilderness can get you wet and dirty!), firm shoes and perhaps a small backpack.
